Services
We provide a range of services including:
Evaluation design and methodology
Support to organisations and institutions in
developing countries to design surveys, research
studies and assessments relating to maternal and
neonatal health improvement activities. We help
to ensure that expected levels of quality are
reached.
Advice in the application of research tools
Through our research based sister organisation,
Immpact, we can also offer the latest techniques
and tools in measurement.
Capacity Building
We work alongside national institutions so that
our work contributes to building capacity and
skills to deliver quality research based evaluations
of safe motherhood programmes.
Training
We offer formal training in measurement,
monitoring and evaluation. Our courses aim to be
of practical relevance to the day to day work of
programme managers and monitoring and
evaluation officers. We also provide training and
updates on newer methods and tools for maternal
mortality measurement and evaluation.
The first Ipact training course was held in Morocco in January 2008 and was a resounding success. The 33 delegates are seen here being photographed after receiving their diplomas and taking part in an interactive teaching session.
The first English version of the course was held in Kampala - Uganda in April 2008 and was also well received by participants. Jakarta was the setting for the next session in July .
