Our Experience
Our scientists have experience of working in a
wide range of developing countries throughout
Asia, Africa and Latin America. We have worked
in collaboration with governments, bilateral and
multilateral donors as well as non governmental
organisations and academic institutions.
Our capabilities would primarily be related to
maternal health and include:
- Promotion of evidence based programs and
policies utilizing Immpact's track record of
global programme and policy relevant academic
publications.
- Extensive field experience in conducting
measurement and research based evaluation
studies.
- Generation of evidence relevant to poor and
underserved populations such as inequities in
access to health services, pro-poor health
financing mechanisms, economic outcome
measurement and societal perspectives.
- Documented use of participatory approaches to
facilitate locally driven agenda setting for
research priorities.
- Use of secondary analysis of demographic and
health survey data and modelling techniques,
including development of techniques for
analysis of poverty and gender links with
maternal mortality.
- Training, capacity building and transferring skills
to local organizations for research,
measurement and evaluation techniques. In
particular, Immpact has built up expertise inmaternal mortality measurement by working
alongside institutional partners in Burkina Faso,
Ghana and Indonesia which are now establishing
themselves as local centres of excellence.
- Applied research and uptake of evidence to
programs and policies, working closely with
governments and development partners.
- Experience managing collaborative and complex
research programmes across a number of
institutions internationally.
